There is another thread on here discussing the rise of violent crime etc. This thread is different. Its about policymakers, direction, longterm future prospects. Think about Money, wealth, employment, schooling, international prestige, a magnet for talented graduates to live in. Great cities can rise, burgeon and go into decline thereafter. The decline can be gradual or sudden.
or Detroit ? ie. A twentyfirst Century success story ? An illustrious past AND future, or only the former.

Just remove the question mark from the title of this thread. London has already fallen.

Both our two largest cities have fallen. The English are the minority within both of them. People are waking up to the fact that this isn't going to magically stop. The English are going to become a minority in England and we know exactly who are to blame. It isn't the immigrants, because we have always had them...The decision on how many came in was always a political decision...and the people who allowed that are the left and the neo liberals.....which in reality is the whole political class....the vast majority of whom live in nice houses away from trouble. White flight will continue to happen. Apparently recognising that fact is insidious to a certain type of individual. Whereas it's just human nature. Brexit was apart of this recognition but it only centred on probably the least concerning part of immigration....because at least most EU citizens aren't a drain economically.....but as this madness continues it isn't going to be pretty. If England doesn't have a majority of English people in it.....then it is no longer England.....dirt is dirt...a country is its people and what they see themselves as. If we weren't ruled by those with no sense of national identity they would take steps to ensure that this couldn't happen. As they have done so in Japan, Israel, Hungary and other eastern European countries. Edited by Stirlingsays (13 Mar 2019 4.06pm)

I’ve lived my whole life in London, aside from 3 years at University, and I can’t see myself leaving any time soon; I still love it. Can’t agree at all with the assessment that it’s ‘fallen’. It’s interesting to read all this talk of how all these dangerous ghettos have formed - there are countless areas which are infinitely safer and more desirable than even 10 years ago; Brixton, Peckham, Lewisham, Elephant & Castle have all been gentrified beyond recognition, and appear to be continuing to do so.
