Its a fiver for adults to see them today, trouble is my ticket is for SP, but, its been switched to Beckenham.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

I've paid out for a season ticket, but in order to watch live stream I'm now told I have to buy a Gold Membership as well, what an absolute rip-off !

Its pathetic, surely they should be wanting to encourage people to watch the 23's, not make them take out a 50 quid membership, especially if you've already given the club a monkey for your season ticket.

I wonder if the club will try to squeeze a few extea pennies out of season ticket holders this year. First the sending out of a scary email about the 'fraudulent' use of kids' season tickets at evening games by adults, threatening to cancel season tickets of any wrong doers. (I bet most folk had no idea the rule changed). Now this attempt to get, say, 5k extra per season in revenue... Our season tickets are very competitive. The club could so easily put a little extra squeeze on and still largely fill the place.

Having just watched the game didn't miss much lost 1-0 to Bolton very poor. I would think if you are a season ticket holder you should be entitled to watch the U23"s as well as gold members.

They certainly know the price of everything and the value of nothing. Their core supporters are season ticket holders, the vast majority of whom would have no reason to buy a Gold Membership on top - if you buy a programme at the game, then you don't need a 'digital version', if you get 500pts a season, plus loads more for away games, then most don't need another 200. They're mucking about with U23 games now. Sometimes behind closed doors, sometimes you pay, sometimes its free but they only let you in the ground 10 minutes before kick off, now the new thing of streaming to gold members only. WTAF And the blurb that goes with it suggests its a bit of an experiment. Well hopefully they see this 'feedback' Bunch of shysters the lot of em.

Myself and my son are season ticket holders but only have 2500 (approx) points, which excludes us for tickets for many away games. I was prepared to buy gold membership as well to boost our points (my son hasn't seen Palace away in league or cup, only friendlies) but wasn't able to do so on line and was told to call the Box Office. I couldn't be bothered so they missed out

They've realised TV is a pointless cost centre and are trying to make it not lose money. Sponsorship is probably a wiser approach if they want to persist with these broadcasts. The TV / media side of Palace is probably losing a bit of £ in its own right. This was probably an idea to recoup some. It's an awful idea. Better not to broadcast than to annoy people like this. They used to charge for online video content - it was called Palace Player, and to be honest I hardly ever used it despite having access. You'd think £120m of tv money each year would be enough to not need to charge to watch the youngsters, but there you go, Palace never surprise me. Edited by dorking (04 Mar 2019 4.54pm)
