It may be apocryphal, but over the years I feel there's been a fair few occasions when defeat - or failure to beat - Palace has turned out to be the last straw for a manager. And so it is with Claude Puel. Any recollections of previous post-Palace-match sackings? Does van Gaal count?! Edited by YT (24 Feb 2019 11.04am)

Mike Walker, Everton. Sacked after we beat them at home in October of the 1994-95 season. Walker was replaced by Joe Royle, and Everton went on to win won the FA Cup. As for us, oh well back down we went and Alan Smith got to keep his company car as part of his payoff.

And a much more enjoyable one. Gus Poyet, sacked by Brighton after we beat them 2-0 in the 2013 playoff semi final. And poo gate. Edited by DualCitizenUSA (24 Feb 2019 12.06pm)
