We have had some good right backs over the years, the three stand outs for me being Dorris, Gordon and Clyne. This boy Wan-bissaka however in my opinion beats the lot. Is he our best ever? Would include him and Kenny as our fullbacks in my Palace dream team.

AWB will become one of our best ever players full stop if we can keep him.

John Sewell, captain, Caterham clothier, penalty taker - and right back. AWB has an ability to tackle that I've never seen before, he's a special player and we're lucky to be witnessing the start of what I hope is a fantastic career.

Blast from the past! And yes, I believe he was. We've had some decent full backs over the years, but I rhink AWB is something special. Wouldn't be surprised if a big club come in for him this summer. Difficult to say he's our best ever yet, I'd like him to get more than a season under his belt for that title. Unless he falls off a cliff big time performance wise it's a no contest for player of the year.

I reckon he is the best right back we have ever had at palace and in England , if he doesn't make the next England squad there is no justice in this world.

Dean Gordon was definitely left sided. And what a left foot! Vaguely recall a hat trick of two free kicks and a penalty... or something like that - maybe the other way around. I am surprised AWB has not been mentioned for England. Is Trent Alexander Arnold significantly better? I'm not knocking TAA at all as he is clearly good, but if the two swapped clubs I suspect AWB would be in the England side ahead of him. Although if AWB got a cap he would probably end up stock-piled by a top 6 and then at best rotated for a £60m Brazilian import. I love his development, especially as Hodgson alluded that perhaps he was not mixing with an entirely positive crowd a few years back but got his head straight and has never looked back. Its a tale many of our kids could look to when you consider how many highly rated players ended up nowhere. You can really see his background as a winger, but his positional sense has come on so well. He's really learnt his trade and has been receptive to coaching.

Pemberton and Humphrey were both very good was gutted when Pembo left but we replaced him well. AWB is the best of all though don’t think there are any weaknesses to his game
