Any predictions on what Roy will come out with this week?

"Ayew is the league striker"

"Batshuayi needs to settle in for 6 months before expecting to start"

"Benteke and Wickham aren't yet fit enough to climb Mount Everest so will be lucky if they get 10 minutes"

I thought he seemed very positive. The way he talked about Batshuayi suggests he expects him to be starting sooner rather than later. Disappointing that Kouyate is out as he has been playing really well, plus it means we'll probably see Schlupp alongside Luka. Good to hear Tomkins is fit though. I was pleased also that Roy's chosen to support Wilf rather than pander to the FA, making it clear that they should be looking at the treatment Wilf is receiving.

Sadly I make you right - I mean why replace Kouyate with Meyer, a bona fide midfielder, a cultured player and German International - when we’ve gor Schlupp?

Maybe Hodgson believes that the left-footed Schlupp provides balance and having scored 3 goals this season (1 against Fulham) he poses more of a goal threat than Meyer.

Losing Zaha and Kouyate is a big blow and could tip the balance in Fulham's favour. With those two present I would have fancied a win.

Steady on pal, that's dangerous talk around these parts: aren't you aware that Hodgson is the greatest England manager of all time?... Well at least 4th best if you excluded 5 managers... he's even better than Ramsey if you discount over 50 wins and a world cup.

Anyway, I digress. He's absolute mustard and you shouldn't question him. Goals aren't as important as ball chasing so unless Ayew gets injured, Bats will have to wait along with the others, simple as that.

Don't need him anyway, it doesn't get better than Schlupp as an impact sub. Pointless loan.

Hodgson seems to know what he is talking about. A considerable step up on some macho posters who don’t even try to understand the overall picture.

When I read some of these posts I hear The Smiths playing in the background.

Schlupp is extremely frustrating, but he is also very good at doing something extremely frustrating to the opposition.

He has weird bursts of pace, quite often it confuses both sides.

Here he is, again...

Why don't you just have the bollox to have a pop directly pal rather than dancing about with your insinuations? You'll probably follow this up with another reply to a moderator's comment to keep in the good books:

"I'd like to just take a moment to thank the mods nom nom nom nom"

Fooling nobody.

As we have to make two changes would we not start Schlupp wide instead of Wilf and Meyer in for Kouyate

I try to avoid ad hominem attacks

You are not my pal.

I get along with most people here but can’t say I always see eye to eye with the Mods and argue with them regularly

I don’t have to explain myself to you but I have a credo to which I operate on the HOL.

One of those is don’t label. In your case I am tempted but you cannot goad me into breaking my own code.
