I have never started a thread before but seeing this made me very happy and I wanted to share.

I hope this is the right section of the forum to post this.

Well done CPFC!

Good to hear.

Positive news for a change.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

I did see that earlier today. At least it gets another 10 homeless off the streets on the coldest nights.

Lovely sentiment, should tick the social values box.
Cynically, this'll last as long as it takes for someone to do something out of order like shoot up, defecate on floor, become abusive or steal something...

Basically, how the corporate guests behave!

It’s a really nice gesture by the club, and it shows what a great club Palace is within the community. This will hopefully steer these people in the right direction.

I just hope they are not given match day tickets, as these poor souls do not deserve to suffer more than they are already...

Good to see we aren’t just charitable on the pitch.

Of course, if you wanted to be really cynical, you may have associated it with sucking dick to get the new stand built.

The various quips in this thread made me LOL, so it would be unfair of me to single one out. Classic HOL humour.

A slight aside, but isn’t it a bit odd that the article was illustrated with an impression of the future-looking Selhurst rather than the current one - or am I missing an important point?

Of course, if you wanted to be really cynical...if it gets homeless people a warm place who cares.

The alternative is having a fair re-distributive tax system but that seems a long way off.
