Daniel Ginczek from VfL Wolfsburg. 27 years old, good age, very fit and strong, fast too, world class in my opinion, with a mixture of strength and speed that few have. 16 goals and 11 assists he last 2 years (that's 27 in 3500 minutes) Wolfsburg did pay a lot for him because his qualities have't gone unnoticed. They paid 12 million and he's their best striker with 6 goals and 5 assists this season, so they'll probably want close to 20. Downside: he had a cruciate ligaments injury in 2015 which kept him out for a long time. This was before his amazing form, so he's fully healed. But it could always happen again In my opinion, the best forward in the Bundesliga outside of the ones we can't touch: Lewandowski, Werner, Paco Alcacer, Luka Jovic, Haller, Plea, Kramaric.

Goal scoring record isn't World Class. Never heard of him but he's as good as Aguero, Kane,Lewandowski etc? They're all WORLD CLASS. If this player who might be good was World Class then at 27 he'd be at a better club wouldn't he? We don't have any World Class players and can't afford any either. On what basis is he world class? (Assuming that’s what you meant by WC). He’s never been capped internationally, never played for a super club, and has never scored more than 7 goals in a Bundesliga season.

He is world class because he has all those goals in very few minutes. Ok, wasn't capped by Germany, but that doesn't mean he can't be world class. I consider Callum Wilson world class and he had never been capped by England before this year.

I would be happy to spend money on younger players where there is upside - and fit, this one is out until end March isn't he?

Matteo you have to distinguish good players from world class Callum is a very good striker but isn’t world class. Zidane was world class. There’s a massive, enormous big dong cock of a difference between the two

I think you have a very low opinion on what world class is.

Maybe another headng is required - “idol speculation’ or ‘members scouting’ where people can discuss players they’ve seen or have popped up on FIFA or FM - away from real world potential transfers. Or chuck them in football talk. Does it seem to you like I've watched him on Fifa? Is that a Fifa link I gave you? Did you eve watch the video? This striker was seen by me live a few months ago and he has one of the best movesets in the Bundesliga.

Careful. I asked a question if anyone else hates these threads and was accused, by a mod, of spoiling them for everybody else. It’s true that we don’t have to read them, but I’d prefer not to have random member amateur scouting reports, on players we’ve never been connected with, in transfer talk. This is where I go in the hope (in vain it seems) of reading about actual, real life, transfers or rumours. matteo did write in the thread title that this was a suggestion, so there was a clue before you opened the post. I think people should do that (I think they're supposed to?) Also, there have been occasions where people have made suggestions and then down the line they have come to fruition. Obviously I doubt this was because the Palace scouting team frequent this forum. Finally, this idle specualtion is often no more ridiculous than what pops up in the newspapers/online and at least the posters watch Palace to know what we might actually need so I don't really see the harm?
