That’s rather odd. Perhaps he is just going to play direct?

Thought Max was poor against Cardiff. Schlupp carries a bigger goal threat. Looking for the positives here

I live in hope. However, sadly, I think we are going to get smashed. Willian, Hazard and Giroud up front...

Meyer is not consistent enough and Schlupp can score goals so I can understand this change.

Hardly the best attack we've faced this season! An off day for Hazard and we could grind something out of this.

Hazard is my FF captain so that should mean he doesn't do much today. A draw would be nice. Edited by DeanMiles (30 Dec 2018 11.23am)

When Schlupp plays we use him as a target man with the GK kicking out wide left, which may be something we'll need to utilise today. He is surprisingly good in the air. My big issue with Schlupp is that for someone who is so quick he appears so lazy at times and also looks like he is carrying either a bit too much fat or muscle (if I'm being kind). Meyer has looked like he's struggled to last the 90 minutes, so perhaps Roy is resting him given the congested fixture list. One big plus is that with Meyer and Wickham on the bench at least we have options unlike last time we played Chelsea.
