Roy could end up fielding more senior players than he would like to in this game , Joel ward is out Souare is working back to fitness and dann is playing for the u23s so he may field a fairly strong team unless he brings some of the younger players in ?

Wickham high strain. Not sure how serious, but Wickham being made of glass I doubt they would risk further damage if they didnt have to.

I wonder if Ayew and Macca will feature and that might be part of why they went off earlier than usual on Saturday? I also think that Riedeweld might play at CB to reduce the risk to first teasers? Edited by butascratch (29 Oct 2018 9.18pm)
I read this board everyday but never write anything; except this. |

Guaita AWB Kelly Riedewald Schlupp Meyer Williams* McArthur Sorloth/Wickam If all these were fit, this would be my team and I reckon it would have enough to beat what's likely to be a very second string 'boro. They have Stoke away 3 days later and their form's dipped a touch. So they can't chuck too many first teamers in, and Pulis is the arch pragmatist. Appreciate Williams may not be fit. If that's the case, I'm not sure who I'd have in there -- probably somebody from the youth/development/U23 team. Nya Kirby perhaps? Meyer is supposed to be at his best as a defensive midfielder. I'd be interested to see what he can do there. Riedewald playing out to Meyer could be a thing. Sorloth and Ayew both need to bang them in and get confidence. If fit, I'd play Wickham for as long as the medical staff deem appropriate. But if Sorloth could have a good game up at 'boro, I'd be optimistic about his contribution on Sunday too. He had his best little cameo so far vs the Arse, so maybe he'd feel confident going into the Chelsea game if he did well at 'boro too. He's a big lad and needs to maintain his aggression from Sunday. It was pleasing to see. Finally, I want to see Guaita start a PL game. I have a hunch he'll be far stronger than Hennessey in terms of distribution and that that could be a big bonus as we strive to play out more from the back. I accept Hennessey's had a good season though -- so I'm not desperate for this switch. EDIT: This has rendered strangely. I'm after Ayew and Punch being wide midfielders.
