Is this not sexist?

Emmerdale: All-female cast in International Women's Day episode - [Link]

Unless they do the same for international mens day?

***sigh***

Do pay attention - of course it's not sexist.

If you did an episode with all men, that WOULD be sexists

An episode with all women is female EMPOWERMENT

Yes, I think it's all a load of old bollocks too

It's "international" women's day, I don't understand why this would annoy people.women's rights are often mentioned in reference to other cultures, races, religions and countries. yet people object to something that may or may not help on the basis that it may take a little bit of us poor mens equality.

I love a bit of insecure male behaviour for breakfast.

So international mens days wouldn't annoy you? Or an all male cast?

I don't really care to be honest I just find it all rather odd.

It's odd, every year we get this and every year somebody points out there is a mens day and it goes quiet. I
Ts a bit like the Facebook banning pictures of poppy's and mentioning Christmas every year. Strange times.

I am sure the high profile female celebrities are out in force today campaigning against some of the below that happens worldwide (Its International Day remember):

- FGM
- Forced Marriage
- Religions and cultures that subjugate women and make them second class citizens.
- Unjust laws that discriminate against women e.g. a women's evidence does not carry the same weight as a mans.
- Equal pay
- Low pay (disproportionately affects women)
- Rape as a weapon in war
- Lack of education for girls
- Access to contraception
- Etc.

OR
They could just put on a low cut designer black dress attend an awards ceremony and send a tweet sharing their personal pain about some bloke that groped them twenty years ago.

Where's Germaine Greer when you need her at least she doesn't give a damn who she upsets.

Danny, do you not feel women internationally need a little bit of help in less Liberal places getting a bit of equality?
