It's always hard to comment how league cup games will go these days as not many take it seriously... What I will say is that I'm a firm believer in that those who get you as far as you get deserve to play in the next round.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

It's just starting to feel like one of those cup runs that start out boring and we keep getting uninspiring draws but it allows us to sneak further and further until we are on the cusp of a final and then it's the best tournament ever. Similar happened in our FA Cup run a few years back where we won the earlier rounds no fuss and ended up in the Final.

I now suspect I've jinxed it and we'll lose to Borough, making the first couple of games an irritating inconvenience.

A repeat of last season then (Bristol City rather than Boro in the 4th round)

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Pullis never was a fan of the cups when managing us and with boro pushing for promotion I reckon it will be the same story.
I’d like us to really go for it.

If it's during the week, then it'll have to be a no from me unfortunately. Main reason why I wanted a London/home/south coast game.
