He should be reported to the FA for bringing the game into disrepute for his disgusting remarks on bbc radio Five Live regarding Watford tactics with teammates taking turns to foul Zaha to avoid getting carded. What an idiot to openly admit to this - he's a digusting little man obviously with a very very small brain.

Actually does us a bit of a favour maybe..

Either way the FA should look at this and advise refs. To clamp down when teams are obviously employing this tactic...

to get many jobs these days, you need to have 'Criminal record check' clearance. To declare that you are a person of good repute.

Why are ex-cons allowed into the Prem to earn megabucks and act as a role model to the young ?

If you ban kids with a dodgy history, it would send a powerful message to all 15 year old wannabe a footballer 'hard men'. London may see the crime statistics improve, seeing how many kids want to play professional football.

there is an argument that Deeney could not work as a : teacher, nurse, police, youth worker etc etc.

Make Deeney and his ilk pay a 40% scumbag tax.

TBH not sure Deeney was a "kid" when jailed ..

Was only a year before the play off final so he would have been 24.

Thankfully off the pitch certainly seems to have learnt his lesson or at least stayed out of trouble - maybe aided by the fact he knew one more foot out of line and would have been out.

In someways he was lucky we gave him another chance.

Some people will no doubt commend his honesty with these comments but for me it’s another sign of poor standards.
I’m fed up of comments in commentary about ‘he had to bring him down, ‘hit him with a reducer in the first few minutes ‘ - all in the justification of ‘professionalism.’
No wonder this attitude also creeps into schools and Sunday football.
It’s perfectly possible to play aggressively but within the rules - think Delaney against Costa a couple of years ago or Jedinak in his time at the club.
Maybe I have Palace tinted glasses but I can’t recall Palace engage in rotational fouling or trying to injure people in the early stages of a game.

Provided he did actually say what is reported, there must be repercussions from this ?????

Seemed to me Deeney told it how it was - quite bravely under the circumstances, because it won't just be here that there's pressure for him to carry the can for all the cynically dirty play that he's admitted happens. But coming when it does after Wilf's complaints, it will increase pressure on the referees to toughen up on bad fouls. (It would particularly help if they dropped the fool reluctance to take one side down to 10 "so early in the game"; it's what the penalised player was trying to do and why that's exactly when these sorts of foul are most likely to occur.)

I think maybe Deeney's aligning himself more with other key players than his club on this topic. I should imagine he's quite well up Huddersfield's list for instance.

I think it was fair play to Deeney, all he has done is tell the truth as did Robbie Savage. Its part of the game. I'd rather not see him punished for it.
There are many, many ways to win a game of football and unfortunately scumbag tactics are part of it.
Refs need to take action on the pitch and the FA have to do more off it.
The rule that doesn't allow for retrospective action for a horrific tackle that resulted in only a yellow card is appalling, I don't give a monkeys if that undermines a ref.
We need VAR.

This proves two things.

1. Watford are cheats.
2. Referees are incompetent.

Deeney has done us a favour. I am fed up with other fans claiming that Wilf dives and whinges about being targeted. Thanks Troy you have just confirmed to the FA that it is not in Wilf imagination. Hopefulyl referees and the FA will not take note.

...

Hey I can dream can't I

It's a cut throat game but I can't understand why the ref's entertain the bulls*** before the match.

If I were in their position and had a player telling me my job before the game I'd card them as soon as they opened their mouth once they were on the pitch.

Deeney, in his utter ignorance, has done Palace and Wilf a huge favour here. What a moron!

Referees will know about this, as will the FA.

Expect to start seeing more cards coming out, after genius boy Troy admitted that the entire Watford side was trying to deliberately foul our player, and genius boy Troy also admitted he tries to con and trick referees.

So smart!

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.
