If you were compiling a video that showed all the unpunished fouls on Wilfried Zaha, which footage would you include? And in what order? Would you start with the assault by that Watford goon on the back of Wilf's ankle? Or should that go at the finale? Or would you start with some witless criticism? But which morons should be included? Watford fans or pundlits? Personally I'd go with Kevin Kilbane. Do you agree? If an original idea ever made its way into Kilbane's head he'd have a panic attack! His copycat attack on Wilf was the worst punditry ever, because the footage he was commenting on entirely refutes the second hand argument Kilbane was witlessly trying to repeat. What about Chris Sutton? Is there footage of him playing that shows he is in no position to pass judgement? Aside from the trolling and sniping from the jealous Gloominatti, which physical attacks should be included? Would you have a heading called 'rotational clogging' which then shows Huddersfield players systematically kicking Wilf? Should there be a section on Watford's organised thuggery? What about that Brighton game where a player started writhing on the floor like a child possessed by demons? If that wasn't bad enough, the surviving members of this outrage ran to the referee begging hm to exorcise Wilf from the pitch. Should there be a section that shows the organised protesting that's conducted. If only Brighton's defence was as well marshalled as its referee lobbying. Sadly, I have no idea how to make such a video, but I wish someone would. Thanks for listening. I must throw myself open to the court of Midland's Eagle, the magistrate who presides over these pages, not to move this one to General Chat. Watching Wilf's unedited interview on the BBC website does concern me a little 'I feel like I can't go on a run...' hopefully a cunning double-bluff but that's just what they all want to hear. He also said he wants his feet to do the talking so hopefully he can solely focus on that. Yes he's getting little protection and yes that's unfair. But it's how it is, whingeing about it is unlikely to alter the fact. Goals, assists and making them look stupid is the only answer.
You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue |

Should there be a section on Watford's organised thuggery? Manchester City might think the same about us as Puncheon did his best to cripple De Bruyn but made such a hash of it that he ended up crippling himself.

True, I did think that was an appalling tackle. I can't work out what he was thinking. So, fair point. But was it part of a systematic clogging attack by Palace on Man City? Originally posted by Midlands Eagle

I would include the alleged dives and the commentary afterwards. I have a Watford colleague who thinks that even the Capoue incident was a dive! I also think that when Wilf has been booked for simulation most of the time the replays and analysis suggests he has been booked harshly.
I read this board everyday but never write anything; except this. |

I know what you mean about Watford fans. They are generally a nice club and I've got nothing against their fans. I met a load once when I played in a game organised by their sponsor, at Vicarage Road and they all seemed quite a decent lot. But some madness overcomes them when they play Palace. Wilfried Zaha must represent some terrible incident in all their childhoods, or something. They completely lose the plot over Wilf and all sense of reasoning is abandoned. A man stamps on the back of Wilf's leg - in such a brutal pre-meditated attacked it makes even Graham Souness angry - and they insist he's dived. I've never seen such a strong case of collective denial. Scientists should study this phenomenon. It makes Stockholm Syndrome look like an O'Level sociology project. Originally posted by butascratch

i bet zaha would get better referee protection if he was playing for one of the teams that regularly occupy the top 6 places in the prem table the clattenburg performance at Wembley was not an isolated incident. Edited by PalazioVecchio (16 Sep 2018 3.23pm)

I wonder if it would be worth the club hiring someone to video just Wilf through the matches and then present the evidence to the press/refs association of the treatment he receives and the lack of protection.
