As Steven Reid is no longer first team coach I feel Gary Neville would be a good replacement as he worked with Roy at England.

Thoughts.

Not sure, I think he'd be a bit hit or miss, having worked with RH before might help. But it'd cost a lot to release him from his contract with sky I'd imagine.

I think you will be on your own with that.

I’ve never particularly liked him, but if Roy thought it s good idea I’d support it.

may I introduce the new Steve Coppell with attitude,

cant stand him and is man u biased ways, but when covering other games he speaks alot of sense,

cant be a bad thing as Roys first team coach

Thanks Lyons550, Neville speaks very well on telly and could learn further from Roy and one day take over from him.

Yes didn't work out for him in Spain but his learned a lot since then.

ummmm No. Based on what I saw on the Salford docu, keep him where he is.

From a former player perspective, my choice would be Shaun Derry. Has had success at lower levels and get Palace.

As somebody else said, if Roy wanted it then fine. I do wonder if they need a younger person learning the ropes with them. I liked Reid being there.

Given Roy's age I do think it would be a very good idea to bring someone in who could succeed him in a couple of years, the question is whether Roy himself would want this. I would not want Neville to be our eventual manager, so on that basis it's a no from me. Popovic is a name that's never that far away and he's found success in recent years; however, given he quit as assistant manager to become first-team coach in Australia suggests only the manager's job would tempt him back.
