People really need to calm down and wind their necks in on this topic, Benteke is not going to become Andy Johnson. In this system he is there to hold the ball up, link up play and occupy centre halves so Zaha can do his thing. Whilst last night was not his greatest display he was by no means poor

If you want to see Benteke score 20 goals we will have to go back to direct wing play and start pumping it into the box, quite rightly Roy doesn’t want to play like that.

With regard to Sorloth, he’s exactly the same type of player as Benteke, what are you honestly expecting when he comes off the bench.

harsh to judge Sorloth on the few minutes he got last night against good opposition. I thought he retained the ball better than Benteke on several occasions. I know we're only two games in but I've seen no signs that Benteke's attitude or ability is better than last season. Regardless of who should be better 'on paper', I don't think we have anything to lose by starting Sorloth - he's younger and can learn/improve whereas Benteke at 28 (from memory) has peaked and looks to be on the decline.

I still don't think that we can fully judge him on the limited minutes he's had. Wickham isn't fast but is rated. Sorloth needs a run in the team to work on his positioning and chemistry with the players that supply the ball to be fairly judged, in my opinion. I still maintain that there's nothing to lose (Benteke) by giving him a start.

How on earth are you judging his attitude? Are you in the dressing room and at all of the training sessions, can you hear what he is saying to his team mates, the ref etc

Again, I'm not saying he was great last night, but what specifically do you mean? He aint gonna chase everything down like Cameron Jerome used to, that's not him nor is it our style under Roy, especially against the top sides

The fact of the matter is, we have him until at least January probably the rest of the season. He has a better track record than any other striker in the squad and his confidence will only get better if fans get off his back and actually support him

Our next run of games are perfect for him and I for one will be hope (believe) he will find the back of the net
