I jotted down my b team based on the players at our disposal being fully fit, to see how we look.

BACK UPS:

          Hennessey

Ward    Dann    Kelly     Schlupp

Punch  Riedewald      McArthur Kaikai

Wickham        Sorloth

AGAINST A STARTING 11 OF:

Zaha    Benteke Townsend

Kouyate     Luka    Meyer

PVA      Sakho   Tomkins    AWB

            Guaita

In short, we lack a decent quick player to carry the ball forward if Wilf is missing. Maybe PVA could/would be pushed forward and Schlupp goes to left back.

But actually I think our squad is okay for a club of our stature.

Hopefully AWB's rise has made the club realise that we also have some talent coming through. (hopefully some talent IS coming through!)

Schlupp would be my moving the ball forward man in the B side with Pep at Left back. And that’s with 48 hours transfer window left ( for good or bad). Good excercise though, all those Weeks in Feb when Roy had virtually no option.

Personally I would rather start Macca over Kouyate. Just because he's new doesn't mean he's starting. I think Kouyate has been bought as squad depth.

Here here , it’s amazing how many people drop McCarthur as soon as we sign someone , been arguably our most consistent player since the day he signed , great character , great work rate and is actually a better footballer than given credit for , proper Palace player.

I think that shows we have decent cover at the back and in goal. Not that long ago the B team keeper and back 4 were our first choice.

Think it highlights we do need a little more CM cover, especially if JR leaves and certainly highlights the need for a player who can play as a winger or striker.

The window hasn't shut yet and I'm hoping that we get Loftus-Cheek back again and by all accounts Jordan Ayew is likely to be on board by the weekend

Even if Ayew is on board, he won't play on Saturday, as he hasn't been training (at Swansea).

Who's "Pep"?

Baring injuries, the starting 11 against Fulham will be the same as it was for Toulouse, with Hennessey in goal, provided he's fit. Meyer may make the bench.

And be scores goals, in fact a lot for a mid fielder

Wrong thread as this one isn't about the upcoming Fulham game but about overall squad depth
