According to a survey done on the earnings of Premier club's fans Brighton come out on top with average earnings of £43,000 pa whilst Palace fans only average half of that but are likely to have the highest number of unemployed fans.

Based on a survey of 3400 fans, split evenly across 20 teams. So 170 fans per team. Hardly a comprehensive study!

There’s no chance we have more unemployed fans than some northern clubs, and that’s just the situation, not prejudice. Maybe Brighton fans do earn more on average, maybe not, but there’s quite a lot of wealthy Palace fans and decent earners so I wouldn’t trust the survey. Maybe a lot of Brighton fans are Chelsea dad plus kid so will be higher earners whereas ours are more Palace fans with supporting us higher up the priority list than it being at the bottom as their 2nd team.

Just seen this...picked up in a Br13hton rag as well to stir the pot further. Agreed it's a poor statistical study and is as a consequence statistically irrlevant

Seems somewhat inflammatory to me and also only a `pool` of 3400 supporters evenly spread across 20 clubs means onle a sample size of only 170 per club. For anything to be statistically sound a sample size of at lease 1,000 is needed.

Well I wasn't asked. No idea where they get these surveys from.
