Don't think he fits at Chelsea, we may be more likely to get him on loan than RLC, if we can sort out a reasonable wage contribution he would fill one of the two massive holes made by Cabaye and RLC going

I read earlier he turned us down for a loan and Chelsea wanted a few mill for the loan fee.

If we take him on loan then we cant get RLC back because only one loan from same club. I know who i would rather have, Ruben all day long

I know who i would rather have, Ruben all day long So it's silly season in the transfer market so why not throw a conspiracy theory into it. We want RLC, and he prob wants to come back to us if Chelski are going to loan him back out to someone. However we need to know whats happening so stoke the fire a bit with inquiring about getting Drinkwater on loan. RLC will know of this will see a chance to return to us slip away (only one loan from a club allowed) and so pressure is put on for a quicker RLC decision than otherwise would have happened.

Why exactly would someone want Drinkwater, for whom Chelsea paid 30 million and will want to recoup at least half of that, instead of great accomplished players on the same position and of similar age, like Lewis Holtby, Daniel Wass, Gonzalo Castro, Junuzovic, de Guzman or Luca Zuffi, all available this summer for 5 million or less and better replacements for Cabaye??

Believe the Drinkwater deal could be a loan, so other options may not be available on loan and maybe because they view Drinkwater as a better player than the ones you have mentioned. Also availability. Is it known those players are available for those amounts?

Yes, I am always a little sceptical of the figures Matteo bandies about, but the players always seem to be a good quality.
