If I had my way I would have Williams in my starting line up.

I think he's a terrific player as proved when he came on at Oxford.

That said, he will most probably end of on loan or injured (or both)

he just needs to stay fit...if, if he can stay fit he can be a decent squad player like ledley was for example.

Thought he looked as good as any of the others in midfield when coming on at Oxford. perhaps he needs to start at Reading on Saturday and see if he lasts for a full 90 or just less? Would be great if he has recovered from the past injuries and to have him on the bench / playing occasionally. He has a touch of class and would be like a new signing for free which would enhance the squad. We still need to replace Cabaye / Loftus Cheek though or perhaps just one of them if Williams does come good again?

I loved him once, but I'm surprised he's still at the club quite frankly, he was never really considered to have the physicality necessary to be a top midfielder, it wasn't just injuries he wasn't rated highly enough and so wasn't picked - too many years have passed, he was part of our promotion squad, but he hasn't seriously figured since then, didn't look all that in the Euros, and needs to find a championship club - there will be plenty of takers.
