With two goals in two games in preseason I wonder whether Kaikai deserves a chance to play centrally with Zaha and Townsend outside. Looked more of a threat than Benteke or Sorloth. Might not be good enough for the league but I would definitely give it a go until we bring in another striker at least

That finish was excellent - cooly passed the ball into the corner away from the keeper instead of whacking it as hard as possible and seeing it hit something and fly into the car park, which is what we often do.

It would be great if Kaikai could at last graduate to being a serious first team contender. That's two very good goals he has scored in the last two games. My only reservation is that he has been around a long time either hovering on the fringes of the senior team or out on loan. He'll be 23 soon and I have been of the opinion that if he was going to make it at Palace he would have done so by now. Still, perhaps he is a late developer and just needs a bit of confidence to be shown in him. It would be fantastic for him and Palace if he could make the breakthrough.

I agree to an extent, however he is still only 22 and maybe just needs time and confidence, Wilf took a while to become the player he is

Mutch scored a hatrick in lee season so let’s not get ahead of ourselves

I'm not getting ahead of myself, but in the relatively short time he was on today, he looked like he could be useful. He 'got stuck in' a couple of times too, ending up with a (presumably meaningless) yellow.
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

He hasnt ever shown anything against top level defenders. I agree he should be given more chances but he has to do something in the premier league when he gets one. Edited by Maine Eagle (21 Jul 2018 6.14pm)

He looked more comfortable second half today to me than he does on the wing, we would just need to teach him to stay central.

As we’re now a Premier League team it’s hard to blood in youngsters. Definitely has talent (not as much as Wilf but Wilf is a rare gem), maybe this could be his year to make an impact.
