Did I really hear Roy say that he's injured? Oh well, might as well start as we mean to carry on?

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

I've not seen enough of Sørloth in the PL to make a judgment, but they're both more likely to be available than Wickham.

Is he really such a fragile one trick pony that a change in style makes him basically ineffectual due to lack of confidence. Sorry, just realised that's a rhetorical question Edited by bexleydave (22 Jul 2018 8.18am)
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

I'm not sure what you've done with your post Owen, but I can't sort it so that I can quote it. If you're quoting someone else's post in a response, put your comments after the '/quote in square brackets' symbol. In answer to your question, in Benteke's case it was probably a mixture of change of managers, injury and confidence that resulted in that marked difference between two seasons. It does seem that some strikers operate well in one system and not so well in another, but that doesn't mean that they won't adapt. Let's hope that Benteke hits his old form this season shall we?

He missed the most chances out of any striker in the premier league , that’s nothing to do with the change of style.

Its a new season, lets hope that he has put his troubles of last year behind him. If he hasn't I can see him going in the January window. We now have 3 players who can all effectively play the same position, so the pressure will be on to perform.
