Arsenal apparently ready to sell for 15m according to talk sport. Injuries aside his is 27 and I personally think an ideal Palace player.

I agree, Danny welbeck is what I call an 'honest' player. Wouldn't mind having him wearing the special red and blue.

Good player, I really like him. Seems like having few goals per matches, but he was mostly sent on for 2-5 minutes, not having time to do anything. But with his pedigree and coming from a top 6 side, it would surely be a fee of at least 15 million. Not sure how great that would be at his age.

Needs a spell injury free and a lot of love from the crowd at a club that don't expect to win the league. Ideal signing, he'll go to West Ham.

I just can't see us spending 15 million but would be pleasantly surprised if we did.

We could not afford his wages unless Wilf went. I would prefer Wilf

27, should be coming into the prime of his career and still has a lot to prove. If the £15m is the purchase price, hes worth that all day long. Edited by MonsterMunch (20 Jul 2018 12.11pm)

He is on 70k pw and in last year of contract. He may decide to stay and get larger signing on fee and wages Alex Iwobi on 30kpw. Players like him who are not first team regulars who see us as potentially a stepping stone are what we should be looking at. It may be unpopular to think we are a stepping stone but we can not pay the wages of the top 6 and our only chance of ever challenging at that level is to grow slowly. Leicester managed a few years ago to win title with players who prior to that season were generally unfancied. This was probably a one off but we should try to strengthen in depth so that relegation is not a real threat. A european place sound nice but unless you get to business end of Europa League it is not really a money spinner and would stretch our squad
