IF there's any truth in this, we could have presumably bought him from Fiorentina for the £7m Sassuolo paid, rather than wait a couple of weeks and give them a £5m profit. Good business for them (if it happens), strange business for us, a club apparently on its uppers.

if there is any truth to this rumour (and that's a big if if) the question should be "who is utterly obsessed" not "why are we obsessed" as we must have had at least three different managers during the period of our obsession so the obsession can't be driven by the manager.
