The whole thing is the result of blatant corruption. F*ck it all.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

well that’ll be a waste of a world cup and everybody’s time. Should’ve been stripped of it as soon as FIFA were investigated

Has anyone seen confirmation as to how this would work then? Would the european leagues be shut down during the 6-8 week period covering the run up to the tournament and then whilst it's on? Or will it be similar to the AFCON; where the league carries on?

I can't see the big clubs who'll be affected far more if it were to carry on during a World Cup then they would AFCON being happy about that...also how will this then affect the Champions League?

I suspect we'll see a shut down of the Premier League from the end of November till late December. The big clubs would kick up one hell of a stink if they were expected to carry on without a break and without their star players.

And, whilst we may have only limited sympathy for the likes of United, Chelsea etc. at this stage, we have no way of knowing how it could affect Palace in 4 years time.

This would probably result in the League kicking off late July and not finishing till the end of May. Perhaps the League Cup could be abandoned for one season to free up some extra dates.

Thank you Blatter and co.

Also other teams who might play those top sides earlier in the season won't like it if rivals for the bottom 3 are playing Man U kids etc.

Presume there will be no winter vreak in Feb 2023...

Sums up the way world football is run. Rotten to the core the lot of them. Money is all that motivates them, not the football.
