Is it the most pointless complaint ever?

[Link]

Lucy Cope, who founded group Mothers Against Guns after her son was shot dead in 2012, said Sterling should not play for England unless he gets rid of the tattoo.

Speaking to the Sun newspaper, she said: "This tattoo is disgusting. Raheem should hang his head in shame. It's totally unacceptable.

"We demand he has the tattoo lasered off or covered up with a different tattoo.

He might demand you mind your bleedin business.

Optimistic as ever

It’s probably ‘up there’ in pointlessness.

Almost as pointless as the tweet (or whatever it was) by Sterling in the first place, but I am a bit ‘old school’ in such matters.

The is The S*n and a very thinly veiled agenda against him. It's pathetic and all it does it highlight the kind of 'news' organisation they are.

A couple of days ago the public was celebrating the right of women to have control over their bodies. Now some people want to dictate what Sterling does with his.

I think the guy is an idiot but unless he breaks any laws it is a matter for him and no one else.

This is a typical England before the world cup story. The tabloids who waive the flag love to undermine the squad with some sort of pointless scandal.

Is it any wonder that in the past the players have refused to co operate with the press at tournaments.

Next up the dreary "player sex scandal". It's the one where the tabloid have sat on it for months and then decide to release it now, with saucy pictures of course.

Makes you laugh when it's at a time when just about any child, and their "role models", all seem to be playing Fortnite, which is about killing off your 99 other competitors.

I don't know why anyone thinks it's to do with race, I'd say it's more par for the course of sticking the knife in on an England player, of any sport.

The culture of violence that you refer to has spread to your own metaphors

To be fair, I think they make it clear here that Sterling isn’t completely to blame for those murders.

It's not a tribute to his father, he never said it was.
