Woman is "fuming" to have saved £250! Stupid cow. "I was fuming," said Samantha Dutton from Stoke-on-Trent. "I paid £400 for two tickets, now I've got to pay £150 to go and see him, and then I'll get my money back within five days, apparently.

What I don't understand is why they don't crackdown on the fact the companies selling the tickets and the companies touting them are exactly the same

Ticket resale companies are a farce (Via Go Go being one of the worst), how the government hasn't cracked down on them I will never know. In theory a good idea, bringing people who can't make a gig together with those who want to and didn't get tickets. In reality, bots buying up huge numbers of tickets then relisting them at insane prices on websites within minutes of them going on official sale. Artist f*cked, consumer f*cked, ticket relisting site and tout making obscene money. Disgraceful. Good on Ed Sheeran for actually trying to do something about it where the government (who are meant to be protecting consumer interests!) have failed. Edited by IMpalace (25 May 2018 3.19pm)

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

The agencies sell to these resale companies (that they own) before the public get a chance to buy. They then jack the price. Disgusting and should be illegal. Good on Ed Sheerhan artists have to take a stand to protect their fans and their brand. Refuse to use ticket agencies that do this practice. If the big concert stars like Adele, Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift and a few others say no they will have to drop this nonsense. Edited by Badger11 (25 May 2018 3.53pm)

Let's be honest ticket companies have always been unscrupulous in their practices with fees and all sorts. So they probably just bought out the successful resale sites. Now they just will have a worthless asset/site hopefully. I heard of one company that still charges fees for postage when the tickets are digital!

Edited by Badger11 (25 May 2018 3.53pm) don't disagree but artists could easily refuse to use these companies and use a different platform, but they probably get a nice pay off for using them. If Sheeran could sell out any venue several times over he doesn't need Ticketmaster or the like so why use them?

It is brazen touting and never know how they have got away with it for so long Viagogo is a different company owned by Ebay but they are all in cahoots, unless you believe a geniune person and his 50 friends can't make the gig and realised this 2 minutes after buying the tickets
