Swansea are actually thinking of hiring de Boer? How badly do they want to be in League 1?

I wonder which recent bit of his cv impressed the club?

I hope they go for it. I'm always in the market for a good laugh and this should be great for about six weeks until they realise how toilet he is and kick him back out.

For a moment I thought it was a good fit and then I remembered how physically competitive and unforgiving the championship is like the premier League.

I cannot confirm at present if Swansea are actually interested.

I suppose IF they are interested they might believe that after 4 games he wasn't given much of a chance at our club !!!! This might be their opinion from the outside but as I have mentioned before, one doesn't get removed from one's duties after 4 games on results alone.

Also, Swansea were known as a passing side who played attractive football under Rodgers,Martinez etc and they might feel that FDB is the person to restore what they feel is their identity.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Swansea boy and ex-player Chris Coleman handed the reins.

I actually thought the same thing. I even thought they might have gone for him sooner, before appointing Carlos Carvalhal.

It will be interesting to see how this develops and how well De Boer does, if given the chance, with a longer run of games at a club more suited to his style.

The majority of HOL people who voted here were against FdB being sacked so quickly.

A distinguished football career as a player and managerial success with Ajax.

Every success to him but really management is so short-term it is just hit or miss, you may get lucky or just get a footing on the manager-go-round.

I do hope you have been in contact with all your contacts under the new GDPR rules, would hate to see you fall foul of this.

That's ok. Nobody's asked you to.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

There’s a lot of man management and interpersonal/people skills in football, especially in this country, and if you’re lacking in those then football management or most people management isn’t for you.
