When I read this I wondered how some clubs have the same amount of games on TV but gained more money from their coverage? Could this be that some games pay more - for example nobody cares about a 12:45 kick off on a Saturday which means it is worth less?

So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet.

I couldn't see an example of this. I can see that, if you have 10 TV games or less, there is a minimum pay out (£12,312,666); so Burnley, Watford, Swansea and WBA received this despite having 7, 10, 9 and 9 televised games respectively.

Not much tax unless we made a profit and since we made a loss in 2016 and likely to have made a loss last year (financial results overdue) those losses can be used to reduce our tax bill for this season

Note: the 2016 accounts show £78m from TV money - so a £36m increase

That really should make a difference to getting the squad improved

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Palace to receive £114,037,662 for 2017/18' by Midlands Eagle

As the subject says, the Premier League have announced that Crystal Palace are to receive £114,037,662 for the 2017/18 season, the 12th highest amount in the Premier League.

Top of the tree was Manchester United, not City.

Spent a pleasant hour in a pub garden in Haywards Heath on Tuesday. A good pint was enhanced by the entertainment at the next table where a deluded Brighton fan was explaining to his mate that Brighton would receive £15 million prize money and £250 million TV money and that, after repaying Tony Bloom £100 million owed to him for building the stadium, they would 'realistically' (his word, not mine) have £150 million to spend on players!

I think he (and Tony Bloom) may be disappointed!
