If Everton goes for Silva then a pretty good bet. Their fans are almost as dillusional as the Geordies.

His contract was up, rather than him being sacked. So no big payoff for Moyes like Sam gets.

He was on a contract until the end of the season no more.It was the wish of both Moyes and W.Ham that the focus would be until the end of the season and a decision would then be taken as to whether Moyes would continue in the role. Edited by Willo (16 May 2018 2.02pm)

West Ham are saying that want to move in a new direction. Hopefully that means down. Moyes has done a good job at the Spam with an unbalanced squad and some dodgy personalities in the changing room. I would have given him another season but what the heck with any luck they will do a Charlton.

Pearcey and our former man Alan Irvine have got the old heave-ho with him. Presumably they were on short contracts too.

Moyes- worst manager ever! At the squad West Ham has, even my grandma would have saved them. They were in a bad position only momentarily, the table was really tight.

Except he's not, he's just like a lot of British managers on the management conveyor belt, very average. It is widely accepted that the squad lacked both balance and quality. He did an ok job, not spectacular, nothing terrible, just ok
