Jimmy Mac signed on a 4 year contract back in 2014 so it was due to run out in 2018. It now appears that in 2016 a new improved contract was negotiated so this runs out in 2020. CPFC didn't announce this new contract so some sites have still got the 2018 expiry - hence the transfer links. He won't be going anywhere this summer just poor quality paper talk. Now I love Jimmy Mac and have no issue with the new contract - 2 further years seems perfect for his style of play and will take him to 32 however £50k a week is a massive contract and I am surprised he is paid quite that highly. I'm guessing after Cabeye came in any agent worth their salt got new contracts for their players. I would have guessed Jimmy was on c£35k a week so the fact that he is on 50% more is a surprise. I suspect that's why CPFC have such a high wage bill.

Of course Cardiff, Rangers and Villa would want him. We would like Messi but it doesn't mean that we could afford him or Barca would sell him.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

I'm glad Warnock is back in the PL. I liked his personality at Palace even though the results were not great in the PL. He has done a great job at Cardiff, but I really can't see McArthur wanting to switch to a club which will be one of the favourites for the drop and he also comes across as a fighter when he's lost his place in the team, rather than someone who drops their head, moans to the press (eg see CYL), or asks for a transfer.

Next season I think we’ll keep him but if Rangers were to offer him a 2/3 year contract after that I think he’ll go then! By his own admission he’s playing the best football of his career right now and I don’t think Rangers could afford him! But they’re his boyhood club and I get the feeling listening to his interviews and reading articles about him he’d love a go at playing for them before he calls it a day! Cardiff and Warnock can just f*** right off! Seriously Colin why would he?

I would say " Go to hell Colin" but I guess that would be a step up from Cardiff.
Touch my coffee and I will slap you so hard even Google won't be able to find you. |
