Saw this which was interesting; Is this just lazy end of season/pre window journalism to fill up column space or is there something more in it? If so are we looking possible alternatives if Zaha does leave? Time will tell. COYP

He was extremely good when he first joined them and I think would revive at Palace - though has been a bit injury-prone

I really liked him, a Zaha type of player. Maybe a little less good on the ball, but stronger and better at getting in the box from the left wing position and scoring headers. But the asking price was way over 30 million a while back. He had extended just last year until 2021. So, it doesnt matter that they bought him for just 7, they were asking for a lot more. He had become a national team player last year, playing posittions raging from left wing, right wing, striker and even right back. With West Ham's terrible position this year and with the idiot Moyes managing things there (and not really liking Michail Antonio) could his price have gone down? Hopefully. 20 goals and 10 assists in the last 2 and 1/2 years in the PL for Michail Antonio for West Ham (with quite some time spent as right back, a position from which he could not be very productive offensively) Edited by mattteo (09 May 2018 10.40am)

The hamstring one has been bothering him since last year. I think he's going to have surgery to fix it for good. He's pretty huge and massive (Bakary Sako type). An extensive period without training could make him fat and unfit and then it might just be impossible to get back in shape. However, real Palace interest is quoted (which is not a bad thing in my opinion):

Exceptional in the air and has a prodigious leap - scores with headers at back post - takes up a position at far post to meet a cross and I believe hearing towards the end of last year that 12 of his 18 W.Ham goals were headers.Terrific athlete and has a long throw in his armoury.

Him and everyone else who ever lived near a swimming pool. Have you ever been at the local pool and thought, that kid would have a hard time rescuing me from a puddle let alone the deep end at Cheam baths.

Couple of Hammers at work inform me that rumours about an upcoming Palace bid are getting louder and more insistent. Edited by Mr_Gristle (18 May 2018 2.00pm)

I remember going there in 1964 to watch the Dave Clark Five little knowing that the song that we all stamped our feet on the wooden floor to would later become our anthem

Think he’ll compliment us extremely well, winger or striker. Just what we need
