1. I thought we were poor first half. Slow, poor passing etc. I don't know if they deserved to be 1-0 up, but we didn't deserve to be.
2. 2nd half was great. Jimmy mac - fantastic. Luka - superb again. PVA - just loves scoring!! But missed chances - CB, Wilfred etc. It should have been 4 -1.
3. Stoke gave up and I thought for a team fighting for survival didn't do enough.
4.I thought their no2 - dirty Austrian, played well. Shawcross had spirit. Shaquiri? Rubbish. Crouch? trying concentrate on the football rather than winding up Wilf.
5. Their fans deserve to see their team go down. There were more of us than them clapping their team off after their lap of honour. The PA announcer even thanked us for doing so. CPFC fans ? We show the rest what support is.

Just got back, great day out.

Pretty much agree with what kevlee has written. Great to see Palace going for it despite not really needing to.

Was a bit worried about being in Stoke for hours after the match but their fans seemed fine.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

I counted 6 fouls crouch committed and no yellow card . If it was one of ours he would have been sent off. Great result though . Proud as punch a great all round performance. Still love benteke. Roll on next sat and we can send west Brom the same way

oh yeah ,fcuk off brighton.

Haven't been back from the game for very long now. First half we were really poor, second half was a completely different story. Not sure RLC had a very good game overall though. The atmosphere was so good from us. Think the best thing about it was the fact we stayed up mathematically whilst sending them down at the same time. Honestly, I don't think I would like any of their players in our team next season, all pretty useless!

A great day out. A bit gutted we won’t be able to go next season. Very happy with the result, obviously. And glad I took the train up. The old bill were super friendly- had a good few beers at the Terrace bar they directed us too. Form there they had a shuttle bus to the game which took 15 mins!

Gotta say their support in the ground was piss poor - why they were booing Ward I don’t know. We took the piss out of them a bit for that which they kinda acknowledged.

Good to be safe!

Still buzzing after a great day out.

For those not there, a couple of bits that you might like to know.

Firstly, there were bloody loads of Palace there.
Secondly, most of the players threw their shirts into the crowd at the end.
I think Wilf started it.
Thirdly, and it was mentioned above, we showed real class when clapping off Stoke towards the end of their lap of dishonour. It wasn't just a 20 second thing either, we clapped them for ages.

So proud to be Palace today.

Ps. If Pieters isn't the biggest thug in football, I am a Dutchman. To553r.

Great day out. We were slightly off it in the first half but still outplayed them and they scored from one of two shots. Second half we were definitely the better side and deservedly won. Thought Wilf was pretty quiet by his standards but Andros put in a massive shift and looked completely knackered when he came off. Tekkers did well when he came on but did miss a good chance. Palace fans were chanting his name though, which was great. Tomkins and Sakho were so solid in defence.

Glad you got back safely. The few Stokies I know are one or two steps down the evolutionary ladder and I was concerned that it might kick off afterwards. You did us all proud - very audible on TV. Nice one.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

One of my contacts in Stoke is resident in Fenton and he was present at the game today. We haven't spoken today but might do in the next few days.

In terms of the safety of Away supporters I recall rival supporters often clashing in the cemetary near the old 'Victoria Ground'.

Wonderful victory today !

Funnily enough one of my friends once went to Stoke and he possibly watched the game, but I haven’t spoken to him in years. I might give him a call.

By the way, it’s not Friday...

How Pieters and Shaqiri we’re still on the pitch I don’t know. The foul on RLC could easily have resulted in a second yellow for Pieters and a red for Shaquri.

Mind you Cresswell stayed on the pitch for WHU, and Arnautovic looked like he kicked out without drawing a card!

Watched on Sky and thought we were comfortable winners.

RLC should never be dribbling out just before HT and then was unlucky in the wall. Stoke had nothing else really.

We knock the ball around really well nowadays and got what we deserved.

I think if a neutral watched the game, he would say we were in a different class.

Roll on next week.
