Stoke just been relegated (by us, no less) but Butland will be going to the World Cup with England this summer and could well be the first choice there. No chance he'll want to spend next season in the Championship if he wants to keep his place in the England team, and Palace need a new keeper with Henners well into his 30s and Speroni pushing 40. Could be ideal.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see us and Westham in for him? Great acquisition for someone outside the top 6 or 7 - let’s hope it’s us?

If Guaita comes I can't see either him, Butland or Hennessey wanting to be the second keeper at the club. I read somewhere that Arsenal may be afr=ter Butland as well.

Do you have a fortune to spalsh on a pretty good, but generally mediocre keeper?

Aside from de Gea Fabianski is the best GK in the premier league IMO and we should be in for him. Butland will be wanted by Liverpool.

I wouldn’t go anywhere near him at that price, over priced English talent. At £18-20M he would be a good buy. Other cheaper options available I think.

I’d be all over him if I thought we were in for a keeper in the summer, but with Guaita due to be our new number one and Hennessey showing good form to keep as a two, we will be looking to strengthen other areas of the team.

Lambert has been quoted as saying it would cost £35m to buy one of his gloves, so that rules us out. I would be very surprised if hes not at Liverpool or Arsenal next season- and my money would certainly be on Liverpool. With him and a couple of other solid defensive acquisitions i think next year could be their year
