The question I am asking her is if we ever got to a CL final would you spend the silly money required to go?

The tickets for Kiev are 450€ a pop.
Then there are the flights, all bumped up ..another 1000€.
Cheapest hotel left is 2000€ for the Saturday night (normally 27€).

I spend enough coming over from Switzerland to watch half a dozen games a season, but as much as I love Palace I would think twice about what amounts to 40€ a minute for the game .

Maybe the year we get there, you’ll be lucky and the final will be in Switzerland. Then we can all stay at yours.

2020 final is a choice between Turkey and Lisbon, so you might get to do both in a couple of years

If that were to somehow happen, I’d be there, no matter what the cost (in terms of money and/or divorce).

Not sure what this is in Pounds or Dollars but guessing It's a fair chunk of change. That said It's probably the second biggest Football event after the World Cup Final so you are paying a premium ..

I took the Euro symbol to mean that it was in Euros. Interestingly, the Euro isn't the currency used in Switzerland.

Even if you were willing to pay all of that the chance of getting a ticket is ridiculously remote.

This final has a 63,000 capacity and the clubs only get 16,500 tickets each, that went on sale before the quarter finals were even played.

The tickets for the women's final range from £2-£2.80 however, and probably still won't sell out.

Imagine the deliberations..."Oooh, Betty, can we stretch to an extra 80p to get one of the best seats?"
