Just taking a look on the Palace thread on the Stoke forum. Firstly they would be happy to see the back of Shaqiri as they say he’s lazy and inconsistent. Secondly the reputation Zaha has built up is tremendous, they can’t see themselves winning if Zaha plays.

2-0 Palace. We take an early lead Stoke press and leave a big hole for a breakaway goal scored by Benteke who has come on as a sub.

Stoke will of course try to start on the front foot and get an early goal, but if we play well and keep our shape I think we will have too much for them...2-1 Palace

I predict we'll finish on 41 points but lose this one. The collective breath that must have been taken in the dressing room after hammering Leicester will probably have relaxed the players a bit and it wouldn't surprise me if some of them were playing through niggles and tighness etc that naturally goes when you are finally safe. There is such a different approach to a game when you must win to stay in the league and Stoke will have that mentality. It will be a case of Stoke pinning their entire season on this game vs. a Team that has had a slog of a season and finally got safe and don't need to win. It's a big ask for us to stay as motivated and play as well and as hard as we have been recently. 2-0 Stoke, fairly straight forward affair. We shouldn't read to much into it...hope I'm wrong of course.

Can see it being a hard fought messy affair. I am worried about the fouls too.

3-1 to Palace. Zaha with 2 and Shawcross with an own goal, which would be nice.

As long as it's not "Shawcross breaks Zaha's leg with horror tackle" he can score as many own goals as he likes. I just hope we end up without any injuries as Stoke will be fighting for their Premiership lives.

Anyone else of the opinion that they're going to hack down Zaha at first chance.. i wouldn't mind if we protected Zaha for this match and go get our first points without him this season!

Stoke haven't scored more than one goal in a game since they beat Huddersfield 2-0 at home in January. They do, however, seem quite good at getting a draw. The result will really come down to the attitude of our players; if they're up for it and play like Saturday then I think we might sneak a narrow win 2-1, but there is every chance we may turn in a Watford-esque performance and in that case I could see it being 1-1. Lambert was such a strange appointment, which will look even stranger if they go down and Saints stay up with Hughes.
