If we stay up, which I think we have almost guaranteed, would anyone think it would be impossible to get top 7 under Roy? Under Roy we have lost 12, won 10 and drawn 6 (including cup games), with four of those losses coming recently against Spurs, Chelsea, Liverpool and United. Since our first 7 games, the only other teams we have lost to are Everton, Arsenal twice, Spurs (again) and Newcastle, the game after the first win of the season. He is bringing the best out of our players now. If we can keep our key players this summer, such as Wilf, Sakho and Cabaye, and make 3 to 4 key signings, one being a proven goal scorer, could we get into a Europa league spot? We are also meant to be getting the Getafe keeper (from what I've heard), which will be a good signing for us. We are now 11th in the league, even after our terrible start, even after playing some of the season with 0 naturally strikers in the team. Personally, I think we could. If we can get 2 forwards at least, I don't think it is a laughable suggestion. Thoughts?

I don’t think your possible scenario is laughable at all. Christ, if Burnley can do it.....

If Roy stays then top 10 should be our target for next season.

The other big point that has been missed out is if he gets backing to sign players the past shows it's not really happened which is why we have had two top managers walk (I know they never outright said it was because of that but come on its so clear to see that was reason) we already have a limited squad 3-4 signing is not enough. We are safe (yes before some one posts saying we still are not come on look at the table and all the fixtures the teams below one of those would drop before us plus they are all playing each other so not all them can get max points)

I would say its the same as last seasons goals which without the piss poor start we had along with the mid season injuries would have been achieved . That being not to be in a relegation scrap . We should be sitting comfortably around 7-10 th .

If we started as we continued after the 7 game start of this year, we'd have had an extra 7-10 points, which would mean we'd be on about the same as Everton are on now in 8th place. 8th-10th and at no risk of relegation throughout the season would be progress and I'd be content and better physically & mentally.
