There used to be one in the Red and Blue bar. Not been there for years now so I don't know if it is still there.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Its part of his ritual to wait for the team sheet and then bet

A lot of grounds seem to have them so I assume its still a 'thing' to actually hand some cash over the counter

Have actually had a punt myself sometimes include at West Brom last year Wilf to score first and 0-1.
I dont resent missing out £300 for that Townsend goal

Check out whether there are bookies at,. .
Norwood Junction, Tornton eath, or East Croydon.
Can't he get the teamsheet on his phone, or at the bookies ?
It's a ballache, but he won't be able to put a bet on in the ground

I prefer going into the bookies, with the smell of slips and used notes

He could always take a punt without seeing the teamsheet. It's not like betting is an exact science, or based on skill, is it ?

I disengage, I turn the page.

The team sheet will be on HOL, as usual, with plenty of time to get a bet on at the bookies and then get to the ground.

I asked a steward at the Brighton match and he said all the bookies had gone years ago.

Shame as I was going to put a fiver on us to win and Zaha to score! :/

Seems stupid though. Half the teams are sponsored by bookies. Can’t get reception on phones in the ground.

Excellent point. With money driving everything nowadays, you would think our bookmaking sponsors would have woven a little wagering outlet or two into the sponsorship deal.

They’re mostly online bookies sponsoring football teams. All of them I think.
