Thought he was hitting impressive form before his injury, hopefully he takes it easy at first and then gets in a decent preseason so he'll hit the ground (softly) running and be FIT for the majority of next season

Let's break him in slowly over these last 3 games, then get a good preseason under the belt to give us a bit more quality up top next year.

It's the sun.

No way he goes from no training whatsoever a few weeks ago straight into the match day squad.

This is excellent news. It he does get fit it will be the same as a new signing he's been out that long. He's still a young player and so if he stays fit he will be a great asset. He was playing the best form for the club just before he got injured.

Hopefully he'll bang enough goals in to justify the wages we've shelled out in his absence

Is it rude to suggest that this is impossible for any player at any club, yet in CW’s case he may be confused by the way CB “justifies” his salary.

I hope Connor scores a brace against Leicester but then I really mind if it’s him or someone else.

To think that after such a long time out and two appearances of 30 mins or so he will be anywhere near the first team this season is utterly bonkers.

Let’s see if he can stay injury free until pre season and then take it from there.

I think you will find players are now insured against long term injury, so some insurance company has been paying his wages.

The next premium for CW will be a whopper then. No-claims discount well and truly shot!

false

insurance pays out if player is injured on international duty long term or has to retire.

it will also cover the treatment for injury not wages.
