Doesn"t seem to long ago i was at the game and we were 4-0 down to them at half time , now look where they are! Got nothing against them actually, proper club with good fans, but reason im posting was to say how lucky we were to get sir roy and not take a chance on coleman, as some were mentioning on here when we were looking ! I never really rated him as a manager, had a few top players with wales to work with, and never forgave him for wanting cardiff to beat us in the league cup semi final few years back, i think we dodged a bullet in staying well clear of him!

Not sure you can blame Coleman for Sunderland’s demise but I take your point. I’m glad he’s not our manager.

I will have him forever in the tower, traitors gate, for the cardiff comment, along with wrighty for the arsenal celebration, dougie for the leaving us at the drop of a hat,(or pound note), and dowie for the clowns episode, although that did turn in to a proper circus! clive allen for the qpr celebration that literally caused a riot can be forgiven, as it was a great day out!

Don't like him, and glad that he has flopped at Sunderland, although he has got the s*** end of the stick for the rank bad running of the club.

Edited by YT (22 Apr 2018 5.57pm) yes, i always thought a neutral stance would have been the way to go on that tv night, him being welsh and manager, and a bit of loyalty to us, but alas no such class!

Doesn't seem too long ago that Coleman was near the top of the betting market for "next Palace Manager". He would have been a disaster.

Colemans managerial record is about as clever as a certain Mr Pardew and no coincidence that the pair of them are so far up their own backsides you would think they are as good as Guardiola! It makes it all the more funny when they fail in every job they get.

Nothing special but ok. Did well for Wales and I think he will probably have some credit in the bank because there's long list of managers that have come unstuck up there. Can see him getting another Championship / Low premier league job

Not sure about the comment that Sunderlands fans are good, every time i have seen them on telly, the ground empties if they go two down, they only get behind the side if they are winning

Coleman might not be a particularly bad Manager but he doesn't seem any good either. You could argue that he was always going to be relegated with that Sunderland team but if he'd of got them playing better football and maybe only getting relegated on the last day you could say he deserves a better job in the future. I think if we'd of got him in we'd have got marginally better than De Boer who is the worst Maanger in Prem history but we'd probably be in a Southampton or Stoke position now.
