It does appear that Sky were unanimous in saying it was a penalty so interesting indeed.

I will watch, but Wilf should confine his talking to the pitch.

His media appearances are truly painful.

Handled himself really well, gave an honest opinion of all the big talking points and put across his case that his reputation for diving is unfounded.

Sometimes he doesn't come across so well in the media but not on this occasion.

Plus he said that Mariappa told him after the match that it was a pen....So Kevin Kilbunt and the Mirror guy can f*ck off.

Best I've seen him on TV. Good to hear him say that he believes there is an agenda against him. Like he said, nobody's asking for anyone but him to be banned.

Wilf showed just how much he has matured and how well he conducts himself when interviewed. He did particularly well when unexpectedly asked about FdB with a very diplomatic but factual reply.
As for the diver allegations his comment that he has never been banned despite some outrageous media hysteria proved that he is not one.
Basically he is just to good for them !

He didn't point out that there is nowadays a panel that reviews every penalty award and dishes out a two-match ban if the penalty is found to have been obtained by simulation, and guess what, it's never found that Wilf has obtained a penalty by simulation.

Perhaps the panel should review yellow cards given by referees for supposed simulation as well.

I’ve always thought this.

So Sterling diving into, almost on his knees already, a defender to win a penalty is ok?
Not one mention of a dive on the commentary, but it was blatant.
