Have won their league! But I have to question Richard Shaw's influence on some of the dodgy hairstyles on these young players!! Seriously, this is a great success and lets hope we see some of them in the first team.

Ollie O'Dwyer captained the the U23s in the last match against Huddersfield. He's 20 now but I've known him since he was a kid as his parents are family friends. He's a great lad who was on the cusp of the first team 18 months ago but has had a torrid time with injury for the last 12 months so it's great to see him back. He's a very accomplished ball playing centre half who stands at 6'8" tall!! If he stays fit I genuinely think we could see him in the first team in the future.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

They've had a great season, just a shame the Palace fans are rarely allowed to see them play.

So they stay in the same division? My understanding is that the winners of the North Division, play the winners of the South division to determine the overall champions of the Professional Development League but there is no promotion. The next step up is the 'Premier League 2' which is for Category 1 Academies. We are category 2.I think there is promotion and relegation within the 'Premier League 2'.This is what I think, I will have to confirm this.

Are we trying to get Category 1 status? I guess if we improved we would have to replace someone else and that seems tough

Well done to the team. Been a lot of talk about this in the past. What amount would achieve this ? Clearly we have a team capable of playing at a higher level.

Brilliant news. One benefit of "staying down" despite winning it is that the lads may develop more of a winning mentality than they might do otherwise.
