With all our stricker problems, is it worth a punt on him for 16 and a half mill? Not been the best of strickers recently but do think he could fit in well... i think its worth a punt with the 16.5 mill release clause

The big news in that article is Johnny Evans at £3 million. Didn’t City bid £27 million for him in the summer! I still think we should go for Ben Foster and Ollie Burke. Not too sure on Rondon.

Very good idea, provided we ourselves remain in the top flight.

Yes, this is a particularly futile thread if we don’t.

I hope that we don’t have to preface every discussion “provided we stay in the top flight”.

I'd sooner go for Frasier Forster at Southampton tbh

From WBA I'd go for Livermore. Beast in midfield, really good defensive midfielder.
Sure, Burke is a prospect too. Matt Phillips and especially Chadli are good attacking players.

Evans looks past it.

Not sure any better than we have got, given the fee he would attract.
Past it? That's why City were prepared to fork out £27 million then!! Perhaps he just can't be ar**d to play in a relegation fight.

He has said that he is settled at the club and would like to stay there and help them get promoted back to the PL.
As an aside, Foster used to be a chef at 'Cafe Rouge' in Leamington Spa !

Why do we need to know this?

I think I am becoming like some of our football commentators who provide interesting information about players not directly involving their football. They have good sources !!!!!

Regards Rondon, the figure that has been mentioned is £16.5 Mill.Tony Pulis signed him for £12 Mill.

I appreciate he has only scored 9 goals in 39 apps this season but I think he would be a good signing for us.
Can hold the ball up and bring others into play, works tirelessly for the team and takes free kicks over a wall.
