Please tell me that I'm not the only one who feels that there must be an issue between Roy and Dougie? Roy had a great deal of say into bringing Sorloth, although now injured,to Palace. Sorloth is undoubtedly talented and will go on to score many goals for us.

Dougie arranged for Jach and Rakip to join us in January and they just haven't been fancied by the management team at all. Jach is maybe one to watch for the future as we have him contracted but has only made the bench once or twice for cover. Rakip is only here on loan from Benfica and will go back at the end of the season. What was the point of that signing? Throwing money away!

Maybe I'm seeing it all wrong?

I'm sure that you will get a few people telling you what the truth of the situation is but in reality no-one knows what part anyone played in the signings except those within the castle walls and they aint saying.

Steve Parish is a very hands on chairman and I can't see him letting someone sign players that don't have the manager's approval

Can't help thinking there must be a buyout clause for Rakip and they are both for the future as replacements for Damo and Jimmy Mac or Yo Cabaye.

You mean: players that don't have his (i.e. Parish's) approval

As said nobody knows who contributed what to the transfers but I recall at the time Roys connections with Malmo had something to do with Racip coming here on loan from Benfica . It was a strange transfer and loan that ,it may have just been circumstances and finances but to loan someone your not going to play is strange to say the least .

Jach was a cheap option to cover the defence , a decent prospect . We hardly needed a director of football to call that one him being an International and all .

Anyways I'm sure Dougie is doing his job as we all see that Roy is doing his . I see no reason for conflict .

These signings in my mind, all 3 were plan b, for next year and the future.

Not one player was bought in as immediate competition or cover at a time where we desperately needed it.

Squad as it is, is a mess. Players we don't want to use, players we can't use due to injuries and players we wished would do the business but don't.

If Palace are relegated this season then there will be
one big question to be answered.

Why was the Club`s performance in the Jan transfer
window so poor ?

At a time when strong signings were needed did the club
sign the Pole and the Benfica player ?

Neither has appeared in any premiership game.

The silence over this issue is astonishing

Blimey. Roy said when they arrived they were for the future not now. The exception was Sorloth who I believe will play before the season is out.

By the way, who is or was Bryne?

Why would two thirds of our signings in January be "for the future" when we were (and still are) in a relegation battle and an injury crisis? And hasn't Sørloth already played for us (and is currently out through injury) or did I imagine that?
