I feel particularly proud to be a Palace fan this morning. I attended the Palace For All - Diversity Discussed event at Selhurst last night, the first time the club has put on anything like this. There was an excellent wide ranging discussion by a panel that included Damian Delaney, which looked at all the key issues around increasing diversity in football such as how to challenge homophobia. Panelist Kevin Day spoke very well against the far right, Islamophobic Football Lads Alliance and said that the club should ban the FLA flag from the ground.

Agreed. It was a good event. Just how vile the views espoused by the Football Lads Alliance are had slipped under my radar, if people see an FLA flag displayed in the ground I hope they will complain to a steward.

Has there ever been a FLA flag at Selhurst? There is a long thread about the FLA in News & politics [Link] should anyone wish to add to it.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

I hope that Gareth Thomas was invited and that we'll be making a documentary about his failure to turn up.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Thanks, Bexley, I tend not to get much beyond Palace Talk and Football Talk, I will look at the thread you mention. Someone last night said that they had seen an FLA banner displayed in the Arthur.

The FLA flag has been tied to the railings on the stairs on the left side of the Arthur at every home game this season. About time something was done about it.

I know Kevin Day is a comedian but I find it hilarious that he says it's wrong to demonise minority groups then... demonises a minority group (the FLA). Then he says the flag should be destroyed, which is straight out of the Antifa playbook! Who made him the moral arbitrator anyway? Edited by Penge Eagle (24 Mar 2018 12.56am)
