Just a bit of fun - best England XI that have all played for Palace in my time - so since late 70's - so mine would be;

Martyn
Clyne
Southgate
Warhurst
Sansom
Thomas
Francis
Salako
Zaha
Allen
Wright

Decent XI - sure there will be some alternative views.

Think "Obi Wan" may add to the list and prove to be better Clyne - time will tell..!!

Zaha has not played in a competetive game for England which is why he now plays for the Ivory Coast. Not a bad team in fact but any team where Palace players who also played for England must include the late, great Johny Byrne. He really was something special.

Peter Taylor was as good as a player as he was sh*te as a manager - may replace Zaha as Wilf is an Ivory Coast player (and see Nostalgia Talk).

Don’t think they featured for England.

Surely Ray Wilkins must make it in.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Johnny Byrne was picked for England when playing for Palace in the 3rd division, that's how good he was. After he left us he still got picked for England and scored a hat trick in a 4-3 away win in Lisbon.

John Jackson was picked for the Football League X1 against the Scotish League X1 which was as close to an In'l match as you can get without being one.

Guess it depends if this list is about their time whilst at Palace or if it means their overall career.

If looking at overall career then Allen and Wilkins (and maybe Francis) get in - if not then they don't. Both brilliant players but not whilst with us.
