Went in today to renew my season ticket in the main stand and its gone up by 58%, i was expecting 10%, maybe 15% , but 58 % on last year! Asked the bloke if it was a mistake and after checking he said no, its correct! Not sure if im going to renew, or just do the membership and go to a few games that suit me timewise, and save a few hundred in the process!

I had to give up my season ticket about 10 years ago as I couldn't afford it. Considering that our premier league status still has a question mark has the club included a relegation clause e.g. you get a refund?

Seems a big gamble from the club.

They'll either be rolling in fans and Wonga, else playing to half-empty stadiums in the Championship.

Either way, it doesn't seem to be a reasonable way to treat your loyal supporters.

I did what Croydon Proud is considering. I gave up my ST, and now go to a handful of games a season.

More time with friends and family , but on the plus side, you save a fair bit of Wonga

I disengage, I turn the page.

Thats what i was expecting ! Think mine is due to rule changes, its in family bit in main stand and cos im not bringing kids or something im penalised, but the fact is its gona cost me 58 % more than last year if i want to renew, which i did, but now not so sure, and if we do go down im sure they would appreciate the fuller stadium!

Mines gone up 60 squid, but to be fair it has stayed the same price for 3 years I think? So I was expecting a rise!!

I’ve got to re-new because I know if I don’t and I’ve got the hassle of trying to get tickets, in different parts of the ground, possible s*** seats, membership etc, I know I won’t be arsed and won’t bother at all and I’m not ready to jack it in yet.

Yeah, im 53 and past the age of having to go in case i miss something, or meeting up with your mates, it would suit me to get a membership and pick an choose games i fancy, nothing better than turning over chelsea for example, but midday sunday kick offs mean i cant drink heaps of beer on a saturday as i wouldnt get up, so maybe thats the route i will take, shame thou, as i think the more season tickets the better for the club and the 34k stadium!

LAST YEAR IT WAS 296, the reason it was so cheap is because im directly behind a pillar and have to crank to see the whitehorse or that side of the pitch, it doesnt bother me to be fair cos i go for the atmosphere as much as anything, bump into old pals, and have a great view of holmesdale goal, this year they want 468, stil only what others pay i know, but i am behind the pillar and if i dont sit there cant see many that will cos all seats around me are mostly unoccupied!
