His only other Palace match this season was the 2-2 home draw v Everton.

In which he gave Niasse a penalty for the most outrageous dive.

He owes us one And I may be becoming forgetful in my dotage but ISTR that that wasn't all he got wrong that night. Unfortunately history suggests that refs that f*** us over once generally do it again and again and again. Our men had better be wearing decent shin pads. Edited by chateauferret (06 Mar 2018 7.26pm)

Wasn't it he that presided over Everton's record foul count yet managed to book many more of our players than theirs?

The fact is that not every foul is worthy of a booking so it is very feasible that a team commits more fouls than the opposition yet receives less cards. Man C are very adept at committing fouls to break up attacks yet one cannot say that they are over aggressive and should receive a plethora of bookings. Edited by Willo (07 Mar 2018 9.34am)

There is a Facebook group called Anthony Taylor must never ref again (or similar) after a particularly poor display at Selhurst and he reffed an away match poorly (not in our favour) earlier this season so he has form. My heart dropped when I saw his name as I believe he is a poor mans Clattenberk (google berk it is very appropriate). Fortunately this is not a must win or draw match but hopefully Wilf will have more protection than against Huddersfield. Edited by crystal-purley (07 Mar 2018 10.30am)
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

Edited by Willo (07 Mar 2018 9.34am) One problem football has that Rugby deals with far more effectively is punishment for persistent team fouls. Even if a specific foul in and of itself wouldn't ordinarily be a booking refs should book players when its the latest in a long line of similar offences for the whole team.

This comment proves why no-one should take your comments on refeeering seriously. A "proffesional foul" to break a counter attack by definition should be booking. Originally posted by Willo
