Looks like a lot of our first choice players will be back for Huddersfield or the following match. Big, big boost at an important part of the season.

When he's back I like to see Ruben play in the centre just behind the striker and not on the wing. The striker being Sorloth and not Benteke!

All very well but players have been out for a while and we shouldn't expect them to slot back in seamlessly and start to perform to the standards they have set with us.

It could take a few games before they are fully 'Match fit' and games are running out.Besides there is always the possibility that they could pick up further injuries.

I know that supporters wish to cling to the belief that all will be well when the players return but one has to be realistic about the situation.

RLC, Wickham, Sakho and Wilf all in the same match day squad. Imagine the scenes!

We're not the only ones to have had our fingers burned with crocked loanees. See Slimani at Newcastle and Sturridge at West Brom for example. Anyway, a fully-fit RLC adds some mobility and creativity to our midfield, and at the very least would offer an option from the bench if he can't do 90 minutes. To be honest I keep forgetting we even have him for the season. Hopefully his desire to make the England squad will see him come back with fire in his belly.

When you look at the players we could have back for the run in it does add some hope.

WH

TFM Tomkins Sakho PvA

Townsend Luka Cabaye Zaha

RLC
Sorloth

Bench: new GK, Ward, Kelly, Schlupp, McArthur, Bentenke

I'd have Schlupp in if fit. PvA was pretty shaky on Saturday, almost setting up Kane with a mis*** and plenty of wayward passing and getting caught in possession in our 3rd.
