This story always seems to come out just before we play them!

At this stage of the season it means nothing and is most likely created from nothing. Anyway, Zaha isn't even playing so it can't unsettle him for the game. Maybe for once we could see a story like "Palace set to test Spurs' resolve with bid for Kane". Parish could offer £15m.

Heard we're after Babacar too. Oh, and Corbyn is an enemy to Britain.

Spurs up to their mind games again. They keep floating this story, using gullible or collusive journalists, as a way of unsettling Zaha and/or telling him they want him and will double his Palace wages. We know what a cesspit the transfer market is and Spurs are among the worst. I fear they will win in the end. Up to now Wilf has remained loyal to his first love but if we narrowly avoid relegation I suspect he will be off - and if we go down, he will almost certainly leave. Spurs are like vultures, hanging around until they can move in. They are always evil in the transfer market and take no prisoners until they get their own way. ***k them.

Will they pay more? can they pay more (with their ceiling)? The only worry is Wilf is getting older but we aren't getting closer to trophies. Hope he stays.
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

Don't let's give him away. He is worth 50 million plus a player with some grounding.

With so many players out of contract this summer and already needing reinforcements to strengthen the squad we need to make some major purchases that will have to be funded somehow. With Steve Parish constantly worried about FFP I can see that we may well take a decent offer for our major asset in order to fund the rebuilding of the squad

£50m has to be worth it and to be fair to Wilf he needs to go to a bigger club with more opportunities for silverware and European football to realise his potential. As much as it would be sad to lose him, it would be sadder if he never got to that elite level he's capable of, and will never achieve with us.
