Rumour from a Danish newspaper says that we just had a bid rejected for the Norwegian striker Alexander Sølorth from FC Midtjylland.
The bid was 7,5 £.
I follow the Danish football league (superligaen) on a regular basis and I can tell you that this guy have played a good season in MIdtjylland, but nothing more then that. In me humble opinion he would be a big gamble. The step from superligaen to premier league is huge! In his favor a would think he has the physical attributes to make it In the preimer league- his a big lad and good in the air.
He is 22 years old and have scored 8 goals I 13 matches so far this season.

He's the real deal for a 22 year old player. He's not gonna storm the PL, but he'll develop nicely over the years. He has not only played well in Denmark, but also in Norway at just 19.

Norway has a really good generation of offensive players:
Josh King has proven himself in the PL as a second striker (ten times more than Ashley barnes)
Mohamed Elyounoussi has been amazing for Basel (was linked with Palace, too bad that was forgotten)
Ola Kamara is great in the MLS
Sorloth is growing
Nobody is looking at Mushaga Bakenga anymore, but I expect a really bright future for him in a tough championship
Per Andre Helland from Rosengborg is a very good left footer
Bjorn Johnsen from Den Haag is a decent center forward, just like Soderlund
They have solid central midfielders like Markus Henriksen and Stefan Johansson.
Linnes and Per Egil Flo are good fullbacks.

They should qualify for a tournament really soon at the squad they have

Why don't we just put in a bid on EVERYONE ... there's bound to be someone who could pass the medical and start immediately?

A bit on his playing style from a couple of years ago. . Left sided, powerful direct and a good athlete. Could cause chaos in the box alongside Benteke or Sako And under £10m Could be just what we need

Spent more money on my lunch today !! Seriously though didn't the top scorer in the Danish league, Emiliano Marcondes join Brentford in Jan ? Infact they signed him in June, 12 in 19 games.

Yes they did, and I think that’s a big coop for them. They signed him I June and his form have just been on high since then. If he wasn’t sold back then, he would probably have been sold to a bigger club in this window.

On the Sørloth note, people in the Danish Internet forums a having a laugh that Midtjylland didn’t accept the Palace offer, because it would be a ridiculous high amount for a player how have only played well for half a season in the Danish league. Like I said he is a big gamble...

I like the look of this guy but I wouldn't say he is what we need for the relegation scrap ahead of us. Maybe for next season... Would rather that Laborde fella and someone a bit older with top league experience. Would love to have had Sturridge for 3 months. Anyway, 48hrs to go and at least 3 more players needed.

Sorloth grew up in a liga (Norwegian) that hardly has any clubs qualifying for the European competitions, even if the qualification takes part in their peak season. Enough said about Sorloth. BTW, son of a great striker and teammate of our own Steffen Iversen for Rosenborg a lot of seasons ago.
